Our story

about james

A Cornishman born and bred, James cut his teeth working in the hospitality trade in his home city of Truro.

He soon took a particular interest in food service and went on to work as a cheesemonger for 12 years, delivering the lovely stuff all around Cornwall and beyond. James developed a mature and well-rounded knowledge of cheese and its producers along the way.

Then in 2020, James took the leap and decided to go it alone and The Greet Cheese Delivery Co was born. The mission? To supply the finest cheese at honest prices. Quickly, friendly and reliably. With such incredible local producers, James felt he should champion South West cheeses alongside the best national varieties.

Away from cheese, James enjoys spending time with his wife Lydia, their three sons and a bouncy Springer Spaniel called Buster. James takes a keen interest in sport, and, being the coach of an ambitious local youth football team, his words of encouragement can be heard on a Sunday morning from most parts of the county.

So that’s the man behind the plan. He’s got the cheese and he’s not afraid to supply it. Drop James a line – he’s ready and waiting and always more than happy to offer advice on any cheese-related enquiry.
